A man involved in fortifying a synagogue in the region of Manchester has described how a tragic attack took place, causing the loss of a pair of British Jews.

That Thursday, the survivor was present in the worship center when a perpetrator rammed a car into and assaulted worshippers gathering for a observance to observe the holy day.

He stated that the 'monster' attacker tried to bash down the entrances of the synagogue, and he recalled locking down the building with fellow congregation members.

Adrian Daulby, 53, and Melvin Cravitz, 66 died in the incident on Thursday, while three others were wounded while attempting to defend worshippers.

Eyewitness Testimony of the Attack

He, who acts as a Chair of the Trustees at the temple, recounted holding the doors and said that the assailant used blades and garden containers to attempt entry.

I observed a terrifying individual ram in the front doors, attempting to break them open with a knife in his hand," he told the media.

The sole statement that was audible from him was 'this is what you're going to get for killing our children'.

That was all I heard him say. We remained behind the doors and we were declaring 'we are not letting this man in'.

He appeared as a deranged, evil monster."

Funeral Observed for Individual

The statements came as hundreds of people took part in the memorial for Mr Cravitz.

Close kin, congregants from the synagogue group including a religious leader, and participants of the wider Jewish community assembled in a nearby location to show support.

Attendees crowded the gravesite, with many waiting in the open the chapel in the rain, following the ceremony and tribute over speakers.

Through a statement released on Friday, the victim's loved ones stated that he would "do anything to help anyone".

Authorities Investigation and Apprehensions

Law enforcement stated that Mr Daulby appeared to have been affected by police gunfire as they neutralized the perpetrator following the incident was reported.

Mr Daulby, who was hailed by his family as a "courageous person", was attending a service at the temple when the incident began.

"He was a dear family member, loving uncle to his four nieces and one nephew and a dear extended family member," his loved ones stated.

Relatives are stunned by the sudden passing of a genuinely good person.

"His final act demonstrated great bravery and he will forever be remembered for his courageous effort."

Several arrests were conducted in regarding the violence, and officials stated that several individuals were still detained on that time.

All four were apprehended for commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism.

The suspects consist of several men, in their 30s and apprehended nearby; a older woman arrested in Prestwich; and a 46-year-old woman arrested in Farnworth.

An 18-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man were released with no further proceedings, police stated on the following day.
