Passionate followers of the actress are demanding that a man who leaped a barrier and seized the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A viral video depicts the individual from Australia pushing past camera operators and charging at Grande while the actors walked down a event pathway flanked by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being detained", though official papers indicated that he was set to be present on the following morning. It is uncertain if he was charged.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account includes videos of him disrupting other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the city last winter.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is obviously a legal violation," stated an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user wrote.

Followers Voice Worry Over the Star's Safety

Many followers accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed dealing with PTSD after a devastating incident at the end of her 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote another comment on Instagram.

A number of attendees also faulted event staff at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while others demanded online networks to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In videos circulating online, Grande looked startled when she was grabbed by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

Hundreds of supporters had assembled in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore venue, including some who had waited for as long as many hours before it started.

The motion picture, to be released on 21 November, is the sequel of a two-film interpretation of the acclaimed stage show Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected relationship between two very different witches.

The production itself is a derivative of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a rosé glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and scored a dozen Academy Award nods, earning several for outstanding attire and production design.
